Direct support from someone who has been there.
U.S. Army veteran. Licensed psychotherapist. Trained at Baylor University. Working with adults across Texas who are ready for something to actually change.
Where I come from shapes how I work.
I'm David Robles, a licensed psychotherapist based in Houston, Texas. Before becoming a therapist, I served in the U.S. Army — an experience that taught me what it means to operate under pressure, keep moving when things feel impossible, and carry more than you let on.
That background shapes everything about how I practice. I understand the culture of pushing through, the discomfort of asking for help, and the cost of carrying things alone for too long. I bring that understanding into the room — not as a performance, but as a real part of how I connect with clients.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Baylor University and am licensed as a psychotherapist in Texas. I work with adults 18 and up across the state via telehealth, with in-person offices in Pasadena and Webster.
You don't have to have it all figured out to start.
David works with adults across Texas who are ready to stop managing and start actually changing. If any of this sounds like you, you're in the right place.
Navigating what comes after service — PTSD, transition, identity, and the weight you've been carrying silently.
Men who are high-functioning on the outside but exhausted underneath — and done pretending otherwise.
Figuring out who you are, what you want, and how to stop anxiety or depression from running the show.
High achievers dealing with burnout, stress, and the gap between how capable you look and how you actually feel.
Partners who want to break the cycle — communication breakdowns, disconnection, conflict that keeps repeating.
Major changes — career shifts, loss, divorce, identity — that leave you feeling unsteady and unsure of next steps.
Direct. Human. Built for real change.
This is not therapy where you talk in circles for months and leave wondering what changed. The work is focused, honest, and built around what's actually keeping you stuck.
We name what keeps repeating and what it's actually costing you — no vague insights, no talking around it.
Practical skills for anxiety, emotional regulation, and communication — built around your actual day, not a textbook.
Not someone who nods at everything. Someone who respects you enough to tell you the truth and push when it matters.
Showing up as a real person, not just a clinician.
Outside the office, I'm a husband, a father, and someone who understands what it means to carry weight quietly. That lived experience isn't separate from my work — it's part of what makes it real.
When you sit across from me, you're not getting a blank screen or a nodding head. You're getting someone who has done their own work, who takes this seriously, and who genuinely cares whether things get better for you.
You do not have to keep carrying this alone.
